DeflectaMat 8 is a thin, high mass underlay system. At only 9mm thick and weighing 8.3kg per m2, Deflecta Mat 8 is the thinnest acoustic underlay within our range. Although thin, this product has an excellent airborne sound performance and exceptional impact sound performance for its size.

The Soundis DeflectaMat 8 is manufactured from 1 layer of 4mm 7.5kg/m2 barrier mat, bonded to a 5mm recycled polyester fleece resilient layer. DeflectaMat 8 is ideal for use in domestic applications or instances where carpets are being replaced with new timber flooring. For vinyl floor finishes or timber flooring, less than 14mm thick (Engineered or laminate) a 6mm plywood should be laid over the DeflectaMat 8.

DeflectaMat 15 is a superior, high performance acoustic underlay, at just 12mm thick. Which is ideal for timber and concrete floors. This acoustic underlay is one of the quickest and most effective solutions, ideal for new builds, refurbishments and upgrades.

The Soundis DeflectaMat 15 provides excellent levels of acoustical performance, perfect for dealing with both impact noise of up to 39db and airborne noise up to 51db. This is due to its build-up of 1 layer of 5mm mass loaded vinyl bonded 7mm high impact resilient foam, making it weigh 15.86kg/m2. It is also easy to install, handle and cut, meaning that this can result in a quick and effective installation. This system features a superb lifespan, offering excellent levels of longevity as it does not harden or crumble.
